Why collect on the farm

At Berg-en-Dal Fresh Farm Flowers, your chrysanthemums are never sitting in a warehouse, a courier truck, or a florist's fridge. They are cut on our farm in Brits and handed straight to you — which is exactly why they last longer in your vase.
Every day a cut flower spends in transit or storage takes something from its vase life. By collecting your buckets on the farm yourself, you remove that entire chain: no re-packing, no refrigeration cycles, no handling damage. The stems that leave our tunnels are the stems that go into your vase — cut to a minimum of 65 cm, Choice grade, and protected with netting on the stem so the bloom arrives untouched.
This is the freshest flower you can buy in South Africa: farm-gate fresh. The difference is one you can see and smell — lift the lid of your box in the farm air and the fresh, green scent of flowers that were still growing in our tunnels days before fills the car. Event planners and florists who collect directly tell us the difference is visible days later: tighter blooms, richer colour, and a vase life they can confidently promise their own clients.

Pick up your order at our Brits, North West farm two days after payment. As a working farm, we're unfortunately unable to accommodate tours or entry to the farm and tunnels — collection takes place at the pickup point only.
